Istanbul, Türkiye - based EASA-certified aeronautical data provider KEYVAN Aviation and Japanese technology company MTI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop integrated digital aviation solutions, enhancing real-time weather-aware flight planning for manned and unmanned aviation operations globally.
KEYVAN Aviation and MTI have agreed to collaborate on a unified platform combining:
MTI's 3D aviation weather visualization
KEYVAN's certified global navigation database
The solution will enable real-time and forecasted weather data to be overlaid onto flight routes in a portable 3D environment.
The aim is to support:
Optimized route planning
Enhanced fuel efficiency
Greater operational safety
Informed risk assessment in weather-sensitive or complex airspace environments
The integrated platform targets use across a wide range of aviation operations, including:
Airline dispatch
Business jet and rotorcraft pilots
UAV and autonomous drone operators
Airport and air navigation service providers
The collaboration aligns with digital transformation trends and is designed to support future applications in:
Urban air mobility (UAM)
Advanced air cargo logistics
Autonomous air operations
