KF Aerospace Installs Flightdeck Solutions A320 Simulator at Hamilton Base for MRO Training Operations

May 6, 2026

Canada – KF Aerospace, a Kelowna, British Columbia-based aviation MRO and training services provider, has installed a new Airbus A320 simulator at its Hamilton, Ontario (YHM) base, manufactured by Canadian flight simulation company Flightdeck Solutions (FDS). The device is the second FDS simulator in KF Aerospace's operations.

  • The A320 simulator supports a range of training applications including flight deck familiarization, systems training, lockout training, and engine ground run (EGR) preparation, designed to provide employees with a comprehensive understanding of aircraft operations across trades.
  • KF Aerospace is a partner in SkyAlyne, a joint venture with CAE delivering the Royal Canadian Air Force's Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. In 2025, the FAcT program achieved key milestones including the RCAF's formal acceptance of the first four CT-102B Astra II basic training aircraft at 15 Wing Moose Jaw and the first production test flights of the Airbus H135/CT-153 Juno helicopters.

Statements

  • "We're pleased to welcome the new A320 simulator to YHM as a valuable training aid that strengthens our local capability and supports safe, effective preparation for A320 work," said Steve Hennige, Base Manager at KF Aerospace Hamilton.
