Korean Air Completes Factory Acceptance of Spatial Replica Cabin Training Seats in 2026

United Arab Emirates – Cabin crew training equipment manufacturer Spatial has completed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with Korean Air for replica premium cabin seats designed and manufactured for classroom-based cabin crew training at its Ras Al Khaimah facility.

• Three Korean Air cabin products are represented in the equipment: First Class, Prestige Class and Premium Economy Class. Spatial said the replicas reproduce relevant dimensions, functions, configurations and cabin finishes to familiarise crew members with the physical environment encountered during inflight service.
• Korean Air representatives joined Spatial personnel in Ras Al Khaimah for the FAT, during which the completed equipment was evaluated against the agreed project requirements before leaving the manufacturer's facility.
• Spatial said purpose-built classroom equipment allows airlines to conduct service training without repeatedly using operational aircraft, while providing cabin crew with representative cabin dimensions and physical constraints.
• From an equipment-design perspective, the project required Spatial to reproduce recognisable features and functionality from Korean Air's premium seating while adapting the equipment for repeated training use, maintenance and operation outside the aircraft environment.

• “One of the most interesting parts of this project was finding the balance between recreating the look and functionality of the original seating and adapting it for a training environment. There are a lot of details that might seem small individually, but together they’re what make the finished equipment feel familiar to the crew who will be using it,” said Dias Omarov, Project Manager at Spatial.
