South Korea – TOFF MOBILITY, Korea's first specialised electric aircraft company, and Skynuri Flight Training Center have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at TOFF MOBILITY's Gimpo Airport headquarters to launch Korea's first electric-conventional hybrid pilot training course and advance the domestic electric aircraft market.

The MOU includes a purchase agreement for the Pipistrel Velis Electro — the EASA type-certified all-electric training aircraft — marking TOFF MOBILITY's first electric aircraft sale in South Korea and a milestone for the domestic electric aircraft industry.
The two organisations will launch Korea's first hybrid pilot training course combining electric aircraft (Velis Electro) with internal combustion engine light aircraft, modelled on training approaches proven in European markets.
Kim Dae-hyung, Director of Skynuri Flight Training Center, has been appointed as Advisor to TOFF MOBILITY, formalising Skynuri's operational expertise within TOFF MOBILITY's strategic framework.
The partnership will introduce aviation tourism, experiential flights, and pilot training services at Hwaseong Airfield in Gyeonggi-do through TOFF FLIGHT Hwaseong, creating a multi-service aviation hub combining education, leisure, and electric aircraft operations.
Skynuri operates aviation leisure sports and pilot training from Seoul metropolitan area infrastructure, while TOFF MOBILITY is preparing to become Korea's first electric aircraft airline and is establishing an integrated ecosystem covering electric aircraft operation, education, and infrastructure.
The Velis Electro received its Civil Aviation Authority of South Korea (CAAS) safety certificate in January 2026, making it the first nationally regulated electric aircraft certified in Asia — a regulatory foundation enabling the training and commercial activities announced under this MOU.
