Hong Kong based Cathay Pacific Airways is looking to hire a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor for the Cathay Academy. Please see an extract from the job post below
“Reports To: Assistant Manager Cathay Academy
Conduct HKCAD/EASA theoretical knowledge instruction to flight crew and cadet pilots Design, maintain and produce training materials and course-ware.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver HKCAD/EASA ATPL subjects as assigned
- Deliver Flight Crew Technical Training as assigned
- Deliver Simulator Training (when approved)
- Deliver CRM training as assigned
- Prepare, maintain and update course material to ensure ongoing compliance with latest syllabus requirements
- Perform the roles of an internal knowledge examiner, invigilating and preparing HKCAD/EASA theoretical knowledge examinations
- Monitor and report on student progress throughout the syllabus of training
- Support course administration and programming requirements
- Co-ordinate and locally manage required aircraft or other visits for training purposes.
- Ensure lesson plans, training material, classrooms, in house examinations and training aids are prepared.
- Ensure training manuals are maintained in an up-to-date and effective manner.
- Advise on technical subjects within the scope of technical training.
- Preserve the confidentiality of privileged, sensitive or otherwise confidential Company and individual employee information.
- Preserve all rights and regulations in relation to Intellectual property.
- Specific tasks as required by the AMCA/TTM.
Requirements
Knowledge
- Flight Crew Licence or equivalent qualification.
- Recognized Certificate in Training or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor of Engineering or Science would be an advantage
Skills
- Approved Flight Crew Technical Instructor.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant aviation experience
- Previous experience in instructing professional pilot training courses
- Extensive airline operational experience as a flight crew member or engineer
- Previous experience in CRM training would be an advantage”
