Being named as finalists in eight award categories, with ten total finalists, is a testament to the outstanding quality of training, student achievement, and state-of-the-art facilities that Leading Edge Aviation provides. The Pilot Careers Live Professional Flight Training Awards celebrate those who have made significant contributions to the aviation sector, and LEAL is honoured to be recognised among the industry’s best.

LEAL’s shortlisting in the Sustainable Initiative category highlights its commitment to environmentally responsible aviation training. This recognition acknowledges the academy’s pioneering partnership with Elixir Aircraft and Green Aerolease, marking a transformative shift towards low-carbon pilot training.

As part of its sustainability initiative, Leading Edge Aviation has acquired five Elixir aircraft, with additional orders in place to ensure a long-term investment in greener aviation. The Elixir aircraft, known for its exceptional fuel efficiency and low environmental impact, sets a new benchmark for sustainable flight training. Facilitated by Green Aerolease, this initiative allows LEAL to lease the aircraft, providing financial flexibility while accelerating the adoption of green technologies.

  • Best Ground School Instructor: Celebrates an instructor who has gone above and beyond to keep students engaged and effectively convey complex aviation theory, significantly contributing to the students’ understanding and success.
  • Best Flight Instructor: Acknowledges a flight instructor who has played a pivotal role in shaping students’ skills, demonstrating exceptional teaching abilities, dedication, and a commitment to student success.
  • Most Supportive Student: Recognises a student pilot who has shown exceptional dedication in supporting their peers throughout the demanding training journey, fostering a collaborative and positive learning environment.
  • Significant Contribution to Professional Flight Training: A lifetime achievement-style award, recognising an individual whose influence has significantly shaped professional flight training, demonstrating long-standing commitment and positive impact on the industry.
  • Achievement Through Adversity: Honours a student who has overcome significant challenges to pursue their dream of a career in aviation, showcasing resilience, determination, and strength of character.
