Europe – Norwegian, the leading Nordic airline group headquartered at Fornebu, Norway, is seeking to recruit Non-Type Rated First Officers for potential bases across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, or Spain, signaling continued pilot demand across its European network.

The recruitment targets experienced pilots meeting the following requirements:
- EASA ATPL or CPL with ATPL theory
- EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- AUPRT & MCC, unless holding or having held a multi-pilot EASA Type Rating
- Valid Multi-Engine IR at the time of application
- Minimum 1,500 total flight hours, or 800 military flight hours
- Minimum 500 hours on multi-crew multi-engine aircraft
- ELP Level 5 or higher
- Legal right to live and work in the EU/EEC region
The Assessment Day may include a company presentation, group exercise, 2:1 interview, and simulator session. Permanent employment may be offered depending on operational needs and training capacity.
License should preferably be issued by Denmark, Sweden, or Norway, with non-Scandinavian EASA licenses required to be converted to DK, SE, or NO within 12 months of signing a contract.
The "non-type rated" designation means successful candidates will undergo Boeing 737 type rating training funded or facilitated by the airline, representing a direct training pipeline from experienced general aviation or regional pilots into narrowbody airline operations.

Norwegian Air Shuttle carried 22.6 million passengers in 2024 with a fleet of 86 Boeing 737 aircraft. The group also operates Widerøe's Flyveselskap, acquired in 2024, which carried 3.8 million passengers with a fleet of 49 aircraft primarily consisting of Bombardier Dash 8s.
