Australia – Airbus has secured its first H160 helicopter order in Australia from Linfox, a leading privately-owned logistics and supply chain group. The twin-engine aircraft will be used for passenger transport missions across the country, marking Linfox’s first-ever aircraft acquisition from Airbus.
- Linfox becomes the first Australian customer for the Airbus H160, following a successful four-week demonstration tour across the country
- The demo included over 60 flights covering more than 2,000 kilometres, showcasing the aircraft’s adaptability to Australia’s diverse environments
- The H160 will support passenger transportation missions, with potential for multi-role use in future operations
- The order underscores growing regional demand for advanced, multi-mission helicopters with reduced environmental and maintenance footprints
- The H160 features Safran Arrano engines, cutting fuel burn by 18%, and is certified for 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) blends
- Equipped with Helionix avionics, Blue Edge rotor blades, and a canted Fenestron tail rotor, the H160 offers enhanced safety, reduced pilot workload, and 50% lower perceived noise
- The helicopter is now in service across multiple global markets, including France, Japan, U.K., U.S., Brazil, and China
