Poland – LOT Flight Academy, the flight training organisation affiliated with LOT Polish Airlines, has introduced digitised PPL(A) theoretical training textbooks in partnership with UK-based pilot training content developer Padpilot, becoming the first pilot training centre in Poland and Europe to offer Padpilot materials translated into the student's native language.

  • The partnership delivers structured, digitised PPL(A) theory materials covering nine exam subjects including aviation law, meteorology, navigation, operational procedures, and principles of flight.
  • LOT Flight Academy states it is the first pilot training centre in Europe to offer Padpilot's PPL(A) content translated into the student's native language — in this case Polish — reducing the cognitive barrier of studying complex technical material in a second language.
  • The academy cites improved student comprehension, higher Civil Aviation Authority exam success rates, and better-prepared graduates as the expected outcomes of the native-language digital materials.
  • The initiative moves away from the industry-standard approach of English-only presentation materials and textbooks, which LOT Flight Academy describes as a barrier to maximising training quality for non-native English-speaking students at the PPL level.
