Lufthansa Aviation Training Celebrates New Eurowings Cabin Crew Training Center Near Düsseldorf Airport

July 1, 2026

Germany – Lufthansa Aviation Training celebrated the Richtfest (topping-out ceremony) of its new training center near Düsseldorf Airport, marking a major construction milestone for a purpose-built facility that will serve as the dedicated home for Eurowings cabin crew training, with opening planned for autumn 2026. The center is designed with a forward-looking perspective, incorporating capacity to welcome and train crews from additional airlines beyond Eurowings in the future — positioning the facility as a potential multi-airline cabin crew training hub in the Düsseldorf/Rhine-Ruhr region.

Opening is targeted for autumn 2026, with project leads Antonia Gleixner and Roy Maximilian Forster managing the development.

The Düsseldorf training center adds to Lufthansa Aviation Training's existing network of training facilities across Germany and internationally, expanding the group's capacity to deliver cabin crew and pilot training for Lufthansa Group airlines and third-party customers.
