Malaysia Airlines Academy Graduates 24 from Pilot Preparatory Programme
Malaysia – MAB Academy, the training arm of Malaysia Airlines, has announced the successful completion of its Pilot Preparatory Programme by 24 aspiring cadets. The program is designed to introduce participants to airline-standard training environments and equip them with foundational knowledge ahead of formal cadet pilot selection and training.

Core theoretical aviation knowledge

Exposure to MABA’s modern training infrastructure

Hands-on experience using advanced flight simulators

Mock interview sessions conducted by Malaysia Airlines’ senior captains and trainers

The initiative supports early-stage pilot career preparation and familiarizes participants with the expectations of professional airline training programs.
This follows earlier this month MAB Academy officially launching its new Simulator Building at South Support Zone, Sepang, marking a major milestone in its long-term strategy to advance industry-leading aviation, hospitality and professional development.
The launch ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Transport Malaysia, YB Loke Siew Fook; together with Dato’ Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir, Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of MAG; and Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, President and Group CEO-designate, MAG.
The Simulator Building features six full-flight simulator bays, including the A330neo, Boeing 737-800NG and ATR 72-500, along with dedicated training spaces that foster a focused and effective learning environment.
