Malaysia – CAAM-approved flight training organisation BATS Aviation has added a Piper PA-44 Seminole to its fleet at Sultan Azlan Shah Airport in Ipoh for use during the Multi-Engine Training Phase.
- BATS’s published CPL/IR with Frozen ATPL syllabus comprises 750 hours of theoretical knowledge training, 135 hours of single-engine flying, 25 hours of multi-engine flying and 40 hours of simulator training.
- The PA-44 provides BATS with a dedicated twin-engine platform for the multi-engine phase of its professional pilot training syllabus. The academy also operates Piper PA-28 Warriors for single-engine training.
- BATS also operates an Entrol EN-1000 FNPT II simulator supporting simulator-based elements of its professional pilot training programs.
- AFM previously reported that BATS Aviation is a training partner for Malaysia Aviation Group cadets and hosted MAG and MAB Academy representatives in February 2026 for a review covering cadet performance and training progress.
