Malaysia's International Aero Training Academy Welcomes 15 Cadets in 2nd CAE MPL Cohort

Malaysia – International Aero Training Academy (IATAC) has welcomed 15 CAE Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) cadets in its second batch, with training beginning on August 17, 2026.

• AFM previously reported that IATAC launched its first MPL batch in January 2026, marking the academy's entry into MPL delivery.
• IATAC's current published training fleet comprises 17 aircraft: seven Piper PA-28s, six Diamond DA40 NGs and four Diamond DA42 NGs. The academy also lists three flight simulators supporting procedural, instrument and scenario-based training.
• IATAC's standard CPL/IR with Frozen ATPL programme uses the PA-28 or DA40 NG for single-engine training, the DA42 NG for multi-engine activity and FNPT II simulation. Its published CPL/IR syllabus comprises a minimum 200 training hours, including 135 hours on single-engine aircraft, 25 multi-engine hours and 40 hours in an FNPT II.
