Florida, USA – Pan Am Flight Academy, a Miami-based full flight simulator training center operator, has received EASA certification for its Airbus A330 Full Flight Simulator, extending the regulatory approvals on the device beyond its existing FAA qualification and enabling the training center to serve airlines and operators flying under European Union Aviation Safety Agency standards.

  • The EASA-certified A330 simulator is a Level D device installed at Pan Am's Axis Park training facility in Hialeah, Florida. It is equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent, General Electric CF6-80, and Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engine configurations, the CAE Tropos visual system, Moog Electric Motion, Thales and Honeywell FMGEC, TCAS 7.1, EGPWS, and Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT Dir 2) capability.
  • The EASA certification enables A330 operators flying under EASA regulatory frameworks to conduct type rating, recurrent, and associated training at Pan Am's Miami facility, broadening the academy's addressable customer base to include European-regulated carriers and international operators requiring dual-regulatory qualified simulation.
  • Pan Am operates a fleet of approximately 25 full flight simulators and flight training devices at its Miami base, covering more than 14 aircraft types and training options including ATP-CTP, type rating, FAA licence conversion, multi-crew cooperation, and emergency procedures training.

About Pan Am Flight Academy

The training center and pilot training group operates around 25 full flight simulators including five Boeing 767 full-flight simulators in Miami — making it one of the most comprehensive Boeing 767 training centres in the region. Most recently, Pan Am acquired Alliance Aviation in January 2026 and appointed its founder Federico Flores Navarro as Chief Commercial Officer to lead the academy's global commercial strategy and growth.
