Middle Eastern Airline Logs Record Monthly Aircraft Deliveries Amid 2025 Fleet Expansion

05th Aug 2025

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Etihad Airways has marked July 2025 as the busiest aircraft delivery month in its 22-year history, receiving five new aircraft in a single month as part of an aggressive fleet expansion strategy aimed at supporting its long-term network growth and passenger volume targets.

  • Etihad Airways took delivery of:

    • 2x Boeing 787 Dreamliners (for long-haul routes across Asia, Australia, and North America)

    • 1x Airbus A350-1000 (to enhance capacity on high-demand international routes)

    • 1x Airbus A321LR (its first of the type, bringing a new level of premium service to narrowbody operations)

    • 1x Airbus A320ceo (for regional and short-haul network flexibility)

  • These additions bring Etihad’s total fleet size to 106 aircraft, with an average fleet age of just 8.7 years.

  • The delivery milestone comes as Etihad targets 38 million passengers annually by 2030, having already transported more than 20 million passengers over the past 12 months—double the volume of 2022.

  • Etihad expects to continue its fleet growth momentum, with 20 additional aircraft scheduled for delivery each year through 2025 and 2026.
