National Association of Flight Instructors Names Brian Wynne as Executive Director
USA – The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) has announced the appointment of Brian Wynne as its new Executive Director and President of the Board of Directors.

Brian Wynne brings decades of aviation leadership experience, having served most recently as President and CEO of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), where he engaged extensively with aviation associations and testified before U.S. Congress over ten times.

He has participated in several FAA Aviation Rulemaking Committees and served on the FAA Administrator’s Management Advisory Council, contributing to critical aviation policy discussions.

Wynne is an instrument-rated commercial pilot, instrument ground instructor (IGI), and is preparing for his CFII check ride.

He owns and operates a Socata TB-20 Trinidad and actively flies for Mercy Medical Angels, reflecting his deep personal commitment to general aviation.

Based in the Washington D.C. area, Wynne’s leadership is expected to strengthen NAFI’s influence within regulatory and training policy circles at a national level.
