Texas, USA – The 2026 Ascend Flight Training Summit has confirmed National Flight Training Alliance (NFTA) President and CEO Lee Collins among its speakers for the inaugural event in Dallas from September 8-10, 2026. Collins will contribute sessions covering flight school management and Part 141 developments, providing attendees with direct industry context as the FAA and US training providers continue work on modernization of the regulatory framework governing certificated pilot schools.

  • Collins is scheduled to participate in sessions titled “From Reactive to Intentional: A Framework for a Balanced School” and “Part 141 Update.”
  • The Ascend Flight Training Summit will take place September 8-10 at the Crowne Plaza Dallas Market Center Love Field, with programming structured across three tracks covering student pilots, Certified Flight Instructors and flight school owners and leadership.
  • NFTA is currently involved in efforts to modernize 14 CFR Part 141. Its stated areas of focus include regulatory efficiency, adoption of new training technologies and methods, data-driven flight training, Safety Management Systems and measures intended to reduce training costs and barriers to entry.
  • Ascend Flight Training Summit is a joint venture between AeroSummit and the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI).
