Netherlands – E‑Flight Academy has launched a new 16‑month cadet pilot training programme in partnership with Corendon Dutch Airlines, aimed at producing commercial pilots with “50% less CO₂ emissions” through the use of electric flight training.
- The 16‑month trajectory combines theory, simulator training and flight hours, and begins in January 2026.
- Students will train both on conventional aircraft and, crucially, on electric aircraft as part of the sustainability component “~50% less CO₂ emissions”.
- The training locations include E‑Flight’s bases at Teuge and Lelystad Airports, as well as winter flight blocks abroad (e.g., Alicante, Spain) to expedite hour‑building.
- The programme integrates airline‑standard procedures and alignment with Corendon from the outset, giving cadets networking access, company‑visits and the opportunity to interview for a First Officer role at the airline after graduation.
- Registration is open until 31 October 2025; selection begins in November. More than 50 candidates have already registered.
