Netherlands – E‑Flight Academy has launched a new 16‑month cadet pilot training programme in partnership with Corendon Dutch Airlines, aimed at producing commercial pilots with “50% less CO₂ emissions” through the use of electric flight training.
The 16‑month trajectory combines theory, simulator training and flight hours, and begins in January 2026.
Students will train both on conventional aircraft and, crucially, on electric aircraft as part of the sustainability component “~50% less CO₂ emissions”.
The training locations include E‑Flight’s bases at Teuge and Lelystad Airports, as well as winter flight blocks abroad (e.g., Alicante, Spain) to expedite hour‑building.
The programme integrates airline‑standard procedures and alignment with Corendon from the outset, giving cadets networking access, company‑visits and the opportunity to interview for a First Officer role at the airline after graduation.
Registration is open until 31 October 2025; selection begins in November. More than 50 candidates have already registered.
