Netherlands – Dutch flight training organization E-Flight Academy has announced a partnership with simulator training provider SimFlying to establish a structured pathway from ab-initio pilot training through Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS-MCC) and airline assessment preparation. The collaboration combines E-Flight's electric aircraft-based flight training at Teuge Airport with SimFlying's airline-oriented simulator training in Aalsmeer.

  • E-Flight Academy offers a 16–18-month training pathway taking students from no previous flying experience to an EASA Frozen ATPL, incorporating theoretical instruction, practical flight training and simulator training, with a portion of flying hours completed on fully electric aircraft.
  • Following completion of their initial pilot training, students will progress to SimFlying for APS-MCC training on its Airbus A320 FNPT II MCC simulator. The course includes:
    • 2–4 weeks of preparatory self-study
    • 25 hours of ground school instruction
    • 40 hours of simulator training across 10 sessions
  • SimFlying will also provide airline assessment preparation and coaching, with simulator sessions tailored to the procedures and selection requirements of individual airlines. The training is intended to develop multi-crew coordination, cockpit communication, decision-making and airline operating procedures.
  • The organizations intend to explore additional areas of cooperation beyond linking their existing training courses, with the objective of coordinating pilot development from initial flight instruction through airline selection preparation.
  • AFM previously reported that SimFlying completed its first Airbus A320 APS-MCC training class in September 2026, following certification as an Approved Training Organisation by the Netherlands' Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) in August 2026.
  • SimFlying operates two fixed-base flight simulators at its Aalsmeer facility: an Airbus A320 FNPT II MCC qualified for approved APS-MCC training and a Boeing 737NG simulator used for airline assessment preparation and other professional training activities.
