NetJets Seeks Fleet Training Manager to Lead Industry-Leading Pilot Training
Columbus, Ohio, USA – NetJets, the world’s leading private aviation provider, is seeking a qualified aviation professional for the role of Fleet Training Manager (NJUS), based at its Columbus, Ohio headquarters. This strategic leadership role will oversee the development, execution, and compliance of flight training programs across the NetJets fleet.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in curriculum design, operational manual development, regulatory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain NetJets’ high standards of safety, training, and service.
Purpose of Position
The Fleet Training Manager is responsible to the Director, Training on matters pertaining to crewmember training, standardization, aircraft operating manual development and implementation, training program audits, Check Airman training, and the development and implementation of various strategic initiatives. The Fleet Training Manager will also be a point of contact for crewmembers, Check Airman, Fleet Program Directors, Safety Department, and training vendors for all training and checking functions.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Training Development and Delivery Requirements – Develop and deliver industry leading training programs and build curriculum necessary for training cycle changes, onboarding new aircraft, and incorporate FAA changes / requirements to ensure we complete the necessary curriculum. Will monitor Training / ASAP / FOQA data and solicit suggestions and feedback to continuously improve our programs. Will be required to serve as an Aircrew Program Designee in support of our Aircrew Designated Examiner program.
- Manual and Procedural Development – Develop and maintain the Aircraft Operating Manual, Flight Operations Training Manual, Training and Standards Policy Procedures Manual, Supplemental Duty Position Manual, and various Advanced Qualification Program manuals as needed.
- Auditing – Conduct FAA-mandated and Internal Audits of our Training Program as well as support Customer Audits to ensure we maintain regulatory compliance in all training and checking programs.
- Continuous Improvements – Develop strategic initiatives that will foster continuous improvements within Training, monitor crewmember compliance with policies and procedures, continuously monitoring FAA and industry publications, and be an active participant in the NJA Safety Management System.
- Communications – Act as a primary point of contact for crewmembers, Check Airman, Fleet Program Directors, Maintenance Program Managers and training vendors for all training functions.
- Years of Experience – 8-10 years of experience
- Certifications and Licenses – FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Previous experience in Aircraft Operations Manual development
- Previous experience in a training / standards function
- Previous management experience with 4 years of experience preferred
- Must make sound decisions that do not compromise safety while understanding the internal and external customer needs
- Ability to adapt to change
- Ability to set and manage time and priorities
- Ability to coach, mentor and develop others
- Education – Associate’s in Aviation Management
