New Central African Aviation University to Offer Pilot Training

Nigeria – Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM), Africa’s first dedicated aeronautics and aviation management university has launched.

  • The university received its official operating licence from Nigeria’s National Universities Commission (NUC) in April 2025 following Federal Executive Council approval.
  • IBUAM will offer degree programmes in aviation management and aerospace engineering, integrated with professional pilot and technical certifications.
  • The institution has secured backing from Nigeria’s Ministry of Women Affairs and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), with scholarship programmes and infrastructure to support over 1,000 students from 11 Niger Delta states.
