New Level D A330neo Full-Flight Simulator Enters Service in Europe in 2025

France – Airbus Europe Training Centre has announced that its new A330neo Full Flight Simulator (FFS) in Toulouse has received Initial Qualification from both the French Civil Aviation Authority and the UK CAA, marking the device as fully ready for training. The simulator supports both A330ceo and A330neo variants and is equipped with four engine types, significantly expanding Airbus’ A330 training capacity in Europe.

  • The device has been certified as a Level D FFS, the highest qualification standard, and includes advanced capabilities such as UPRT, Dual HUD, Icing, and Post-Stall training.
  • This is the first A330 full-flight simulator in the Airbus Training Network to incorporate the new Standard 3.0, reflecting Airbus’ latest advancements in training fidelity, systems modelling, and operational realism.
  • The device will provide enhanced training capacity for both pilots and maintenance personnel, reinforcing Airbus’ broader safety and competency-development mission.
