New Middle Eastern Regional Carrier Announces Turboprop Launch Fleet and Training-Center Development

Jordan – MENA Airline, a new regional carrier and aviation-training venture based in Aqaba, has announced that it will commence operations with the ATR 72.

  • The start-up is currently in the licensing phase, positioning itself as Jordan’s newest hybrid low-cost regional airline, strategically headquartered at King Hussein International Airport (AQJ) in Aqaba.
  • MENA Airline plans to operate a Hub-and-Spoke network, offering high-frequency shuttle services between Aqaba and Amman (Queen Alia International Airport – AMM, and Marka Airport – ADJ), while also targeting underserved regional routes across the GCC and MENA region.
  • The airline has also announced the establishment of a Certified Aviation Training Center in Aqaba, designed to provide both theoretical and practical ground training.
