Jordan – MENA Airline, a new regional carrier and aviation-training venture based in Aqaba, has announced that it will commence operations with the ATR 72.
The start-up is currently in the licensing phase, positioning itself as Jordan’s newest hybrid low-cost regional airline, strategically headquartered at King Hussein International Airport (AQJ) in Aqaba.
MENA Airline plans to operate a Hub-and-Spoke network, offering high-frequency shuttle services between Aqaba and Amman (Queen Alia International Airport – AMM, and Marka Airport – ADJ), while also targeting underserved regional routes across the GCC and MENA region.
The airline has also announced the establishment of a Certified Aviation Training Center in Aqaba, designed to provide both theoretical and practical ground training.
