Michigan, USA – Valor Flight Academy, a newly established premium flight training organization at Willow Run Airport (KYIP) in Southeast Michigan, has officially launched operations with its first Tecnam P2008 MkII aircraft, announced during the Stratus Aero Summit '26 in Aventura, Florida.

  • The academy's first P2008 MkII is in operation through a strategic leaseback partnership via Vector Flight Leasing, with plans to acquire two additional aircraft to bring the initial Tecnam fleet to three. Long-term fleet expansion envisions both single-engine and multi-engine Tecnam aircraft.
  • Valor Flight Academy is strategically positioned at Willow Run Airport, one of the Midwest's most significant aviation hubs featuring 24-hour tower operations, multiple runways, diverse airspace exposure, and year-round operational capability. The academy operates from the AVFLIGHT hangar facility.
  • While newly established, the academy's leadership and instructional team bring over a decade of professional pilot and high-volume flight instruction experience, and the school has already generated strong local interest with over a dozen prospective students enrolling in the professional pilot development program.
  • The P2008 MkII combines a carbon-fiber fuselage with metal wings, offering modern aerodynamics, advanced avionics, and rugged reliability suited to the rigorous demands of professional flight training.
  • Valor was designed around a modern academy-style philosophy centered on structure, safety, professionalism, advanced aircraft, and real-world operational readiness, positioning itself as an alternative to what its founders describe as outdated and inconsistent models in general aviation training.

Statements

  • "Valor Flight Academy was built with a vision far greater than simply teaching people how to fly. Our mission is to develop disciplined, safety-focused, and highly professional aviators who are prepared to meet the standards of today's aviation industry. From our training philosophy to the aircraft we operate, every decision we make is centered around professionalism, mentorship, and long-term student success," said Sadeq Ahmed, CEO of Valor Flight Academy.
  • "Sadeq and his team are building exactly the kind of modern, safety-focused, and highly structured training environment where our aircraft truly shine. The P2008 MkII is the perfect foundation for their ambitious growth plans, offering the advanced technology, efficiency, and premium feel that next-generation aviators demand," said Walter Da Costa, Tecnam's Chief Sales Officer.
