New Zealand Flight School is Seeking a New Chief Executive to Lead the Company

Air Hawke’s Bay Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hawke’s Bay & East Coast Aero Club and operates a fixed wing flight training academy from its base at the Hastings Aerodrome, is seeking a new Chief Executive (CE) to lead the company within a vibrant industry. "As the CE you will have accountability for the overall strategic direction and performance of the company including managing the optimum level of resources to achieve the strategic goals of the company. You will need the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, while helping to enhance financial and service delivery performance. With a practical hands-on style, you will have excellent leadership, people management, organisational, systems development and financial skills. 

The ideal person for the CE role will have:

• Proven experience in a Senior Executive or General Manager role
• Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders including Government Agencies
• Proven team leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven business acumen and the ability to set and manage budgets and costs effectively
• Tertiary qualified and/or Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline
• Understanding of the Aviation industry and/or Tertiary Education Sector is preferred
• Essential to secure this position the successful applicant needs to meet the qualifications and experience of a senior person under Civil Aviation Authority criteria"
