Oman Aviation Academy Secures UAE GCAA Approval to Train Air Arabia Academy Cadets

Oman & United Arab Emirates – Oman Aviation Academy (OAA) has received certification from the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to train cadets from Sharjah-based Air Arabia Academy. The regulatory approval advances implementation of the training agreement signed by the two organisations earlier in 2026 and enables OAA to support Air Arabia Academy MPL cadet training from its Sohar operation.

• OAA currently holds Approved Training Organisation approvals from both the Oman Civil Aviation Authority and EASA.
• The academy’s current equipment information lists Diamond DA40 NG, Diamond DA42 NG and Pipistrel Virus SW121A aircraft. Its synthetic training equipment includes a Boeing 737 MAX FNPT II MCC/FTD-1, Diamond DA42 FNPT II MEP, Diamond DA40 FNPT II SEP and virtual-reality training equipment.
