Global – Oscar Yankee, a Denmark-based aviation software developer, has published a technical and strategic overview of its AI and integration roadmap for OY Wings — its flight training management platform — outlining a three-component integration architecture and positioning the platform as a foundation for AI-driven automation in flight school operations.

  • OY Wings' integration architecture is built around three unified components: a GraphQL API enabling flexible, structured data access for custom dashboards, third-party system connections, and automation workflows; webhooks that allow connected systems to react in real time to events within the platform such as lesson completions and student milestones; and a new MCP server that provides a structured, scalable interface for external tools — including AI-driven systems — to interact with OY Wings.
  • The three components are maintained as a unified package, with updates to the API triggering corresponding releases for webhooks and the MCP server — providing flight schools with long-term integration stability and removing the fragmentation risk typically associated with multi-vendor software ecosystems.
  • Practical use cases identified by Oscar Yankee include automated training workflows triggered by student milestones, advanced business intelligence reporting by combining OY Wings data with external analytics tools, accounting system synchronisation, custom student and instructor app development via the API, and real-time operational alerts via webhooks.
  • On the AI trajectory, Oscar Yankee identifies its integration-first approach as preparation for three emerging capability areas: agentic AI systems that can act autonomously on operational data; generative user interfaces that adapt to context and user behaviour; and intelligent assistants for instructors, students, and operations teams — all of which require open, structured data interfaces to function effectively.
  • The publication follows OY Wings' January 2026 launch of full multilingual platform support including Danish, Dutch, and German language interfaces, reflecting the company's focus on serving Europe's linguistically diverse flight training operator base.
