Oscar Yankee Previews One-Click Weekly Flight Training Scheduling for OY Wings

Denmark – Danish aviation software developer Oscar Yankee has previewed an upcoming one-click weekly training planning capability for its OY Wings flight school management platform. The planned functionality is intended to simplify the preparation of flight training schedules, addressing the administrative workload associated with coordinating students, instructors and training resources.

• The proposed feature is presented as allowing a week of training to be planned through a single action, extending OY Wings beyond its existing calendar-based scheduling and resource management functions.
• OY Wings currently provides a centralised scheduling environment displaying the availability of aircraft, instructors and classrooms, alongside student bookings and lesson information. The platform allows training organisations to configure booking permissions, instructor availability and approval workflows.
• For flight training organisations, the introduction of automated weekly planning could reduce the time spent preparing training schedules and coordinating available resources, potentially allowing operations personnel to devote more time to managing day-to-day training activity.
• AFM previously reported that Oscar Yankee outlined an artificial intelligence and automation roadmap for OY Wings in April 2026, supported by a GraphQL API, webhooks and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. The company identified automated training workflows and intelligent operational assistance among its development priorities.
• The planned scheduling functionality follows Oscar Yankee's October 2026 expansion of OY Wings through native applications for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV, providing access to training schedules, aircraft bookings, student progression and flight operations information.
