United Kingdom – Oxford Airline Training (OAT), the newly relaunched UK CAA Approved Training Organisation based at Hangar 7, London Oxford Airport, has hosted 32 undergraduate students and two course leaders from the University of the West of England (UWE) for a facility visit and simulator experience at its training centre.

  • The students are enrolled in UWE's BEng(Hons) Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies programme, which combines an engineering degree with aviation industry-focused insight and skills development, preparing graduates for careers as aerospace engineers or professional pilots.
  • The visit provided students with hands-on simulator experience across OAT's Airbus A320, Boeing 737NG, and Diamond DA42 training devices, alongside a guided tour of the centre's facilities and panoramic views of London Oxford Airport — giving university students direct exposure to how new airline pilots are trained in a professional ATO environment.
  • The engagement reflects OAT's broader mission of supporting and inspiring future UK aviation professionals, particularly those following modular and non-traditional pathways into the industry. Under its "Level Up" philosophy, OAT aims to expand access to professional pilot training and promote opportunities for aspiring aviators across the UK.
  • OAT was established in June 2025 as a sister company to Triple J Aviation Engineering and began delivering its first UK CAA approved courses in April 2026, including APS MCC on type-specific Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320 FTD simulators. The academy operates from a 55,000-square-foot purpose-built facility at London Oxford Airport, with a fleet comprising up to six Diamond DA42 TDI aircraft, two DA42 FNPT II simulators, A320 and B737NG FTD1 simulators, and a Super Decathlon for AUPRT.
