United Kingdom – Oxford Airline Training (OAT), the new UK-based provider of modular APS-MCC and flight training services, has inaugurated real aircraft flying operations on 1 June 2026 as a UK CAA Approved Training Organisation, operating a fleet of Diamond DA42, Diamond DA40, and Super Decathlon aircraft to deliver modular MEP Class Rating, Instrument Rating, and CPL courses.

  • The 1 June launch marks a significant expansion for Oxford Airline Training, transitioning from its established simulator-based APS-MCC training offering into a full flight training operation with aircraft — adding ab initio and advanced modular course delivery to its portfolio.
  • The fleet includes Diamond DA42 twin-engine aircraft for MEP class rating and multi-engine instrument rating training, Diamond DA40 single-engine aircraft for CPL and instrument training, and a Super Decathlon for upset prevention and recovery training and aerobatic experience.
  • The launch of modular MEP, IR, and CPL courses positions Oxford Airline Training to offer a more complete modular pathway — from flight training through to its established APS-MCC programs on the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG — creating a single-provider solution for modular cadets progressing toward airline readiness.
