United Kingdom – Oxford Airline Training (OAT), a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Approved Training Organisation based at London Oxford Airport, welcomed six pilot trainees to its latest Airbus A320 Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) course in October 2026. The intake, designated APS MCC 12-2026, brings together pilots from different UK Approved Training Organisations for advanced multi-crew airline training.

  • As of 2 October 2026, OAT reported eight remaining places across its scheduled APS MCC courses for the rest of the year, reflecting continued enrolment activity in its modular airline pilot training programs.
  • The six trainees completed four days of ground school instruction with MCC Instructor Colin, followed by a scheduled transition to simulator training beginning on 5 October. The initial phase comprised five simulator sessions focused on multi-crew airline operations.
  • OAT's APS MCC courses are scheduled over 18 days, including rest periods, and are available on Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG platforms. The academy also offers standalone APS MCC training to pilots completing other stages of their professional qualifications at different training organisations.
  • AFM previously reported that Oxford Airline Training hosted 12 trainees across concurrent A320 and Boeing 737NG APS MCC courses in September 2026, marking the academy's first simultaneous delivery of the two aircraft-specific training programs. The October announcement identifies a subsequent A320 intake.
  • OAT's A320 APS MCC syllabus comprises 30 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction and 40 hours of simulator training, delivered on its MPS Airbus A320 Flight Training Device Level 1 (FTD1). The training focuses on crew coordination, communication, workload management and airline operating procedures in preparation for initial multi-pilot aircraft type ratings.
