Pacific Carrier Launches 2025 Recruitment Drive for ATR72 Pilots – Captains and First Officers

Papua New Guinea – PNG Air has launched a recruitment campaign targeting both experienced ATR72-600 Captains and emerging First Officers, as part of its ongoing fleet and network expansion strategy.

• The airline is seeking to recruit ATR72-600 Captains holding an ATPL with:

  • 3,000 hours total time as PIC

  • 500 hours multi-engine command

  • 500 hours turbine experience

  • 500 hours Part 121 operations

• For First Officer roles, candidates must hold a CPL with:

  • 1,000 hours total flight time

  • 100 hours multi-engine experience

• Candidates must have a multi-engine command instrument rating.

PNG Air currently oeprates 7x ATR 72-600 and 4 Dash 8-100.
