Pakistan International Airlines orders A320 Full Flight Simulator
The national flag carrier of Pakistan – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has ordered an A320ceo Full Flight Simulator from L3Harris to be based at its new PIA Training Center currently under construction in Karachi, Pakistan.
The L3Harris A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) will be the first A320 FFS in Pakistan and is scheduled to be ready for training in August 2022. The A320 FFS is the second simulator L3Harris has sold to PIA following the sale of a Boeing B777 FFS to PIA back in 2009 (which L3Harris upgraded in the first half of 2021). The PIA Training Center will house the airlines three full flight simulators (A320, B777 and B747) and will be linked to the Karachi Airport Hotel.
Robin Glover-Faure, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Commercial Aviation L3Harris commented: “We are delighted to agree the order of another FFS to Pakistan International Airlines, as we expand our relationship with the airline. The L3Harris Airbus A320ceo FFS will give PIA pilots the highest quality training available to support the development and training requirements as the airline continues its recovery.”
