Pan Am Flight Academy Upgrades Boeing 767 Level D Simulator with IS&S Cockpit/IP

Florida, USA – FAA Part 142 training provider Pan Am Flight Academy has upgraded its Boeing 767 Level D Full Flight Simulator, FAA ID 2135, with an Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) Cockpit/IP® configuration.

• The upgraded simulator is FAA Level D qualified under FAA ID 2135, with Pan Am's latest training material stating that the qualification is valid through November 30, 2027.
• Pan Am identifies the simulator's avionics configuration as the IS&S Flat Panel Display System (FPDS), model standard 9K-05070. The system replaces legacy electronic flight instrument displays with the IS&S cockpit presentation while retaining the aircraft-specific operating environment required for Boeing 767 training.
• The device retains a Collins Aerospace Pegasus Flight Management System.
• The simulator represents a Boeing 767 configuration powered by GE CF6-80C2B6 engines. Pan Am's latest technical material lists rated thrust at 60,070 lb per engine.
• Pan Am offers Boeing 767 Initial Type Rating, Upgrade, Recurrent and Requalification training as well as dry simulator leasing. Its current Boeing 767 equipment page lists multiple full-flight simulators and a Level 4 Flight Training Device.
• AFM previously reported that Pan Am expanded its Boeing 767 simulator capability in 2025 with the installation of an additional B767-300ER Level D Full Flight Simulator at its Axis Park Campus. That project included an upgraded RSI XT6 image generator, Norxe P10 projectors and replacement projection equipment.
