Peru's Universidad de San Martin de Porres Takes Delivery of 2 Tecnam P2008JC MkII Training Aircraft

Peru – Universidad de San Martin de Porres (USMP), a leading Peruvian higher education institution, has taken delivery of its first two Tecnam P2008JC MkII training aircraft to modernize the fleet of its School of Aeronautical Sciences, which currently has 441 enrolled students.

• The P2008JC MkII aircraft, manufactured by Italian aircraft manufacturer Tecnam, are designed to increase USMP's operational training capacity, optimize flight scheduling, and ensure students complete their instruction hours on modern, internationally standardized equipment.
• USMP's Aeronautical Sciences program has been operating since 2012, focused on training professional pilots for both national and international markets. The fleet modernization is positioned to enhance graduate employability in an increasingly demanding airline industry by standardizing training on current-generation aircraft.
• The Tecnam P2008JC MkII is recognized for its lightweight design, fuel efficiency, and ease of operation, enabling more sustainable and frequent training operations — a critical requirement for large training organizations in Latin America with continuous flight schedules.
• AEROTEC, Tecnam's exclusive dealer and service center for South America, facilitated the delivery and will provide ongoing localized support including fleet integration, operational guidance, and after-sales service to maintain maximum dispatch reliability.
• AEROTEC maintains direct presence in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil with offices across the rest of the continent, supporting more than 400 Tecnam aircraft currently operating in the South American region.
