Philippine Airlines Signs MoU for 9 Additional Airbus A350-1000s

Philippines – Philippine flag carrier Philippine Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for nine additional A350-1000 aircraft, with PAL separately confirming purchase rights for five more.

• The agreement covers nine A350-1000s and purchase rights for five additional aircraft, creating a potential second batch of up to 14 units. PAL expects deliveries from the new agreement between 2034 and 2036.
• PAL already has a firm order for nine A350-1000s, placed in 2023. Two have entered service, leaving seven aircraft from the original order awaiting delivery; finalisation of the latest MoU would increase the airline’s firm commitment to 18 aircraft, excluding the five purchase rights.
• Airbus stated that the first two aircraft had been delivered during 2026.
• PAL’s official fleet information lists Airbus A320, A321, A330 and A350 aircraft, Boeing 777-300ERs and De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400s.
