Philippines-Based Airworks Aviation Company Gains Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Approval in 2026

April 14, 2026

Philippines – Airworks Aviation Company (Airworks Aviation Academy), one of the Philippines' largest flight training organisations based in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, has received official authorisation from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to conduct approved flight training programmes under CAAV-recognised standards, expanding the academy's international regulatory recognition.

  • The CAAV authorisation enables Airworks to deliver three CAAV-recognised programmes:
    • CPL IR – Single Engine
    • CPL IR – Multi-Engine
    • ATPL Theory
  • Delegates from the CAAV conducted a visit to Airworks' facilities, engaging with academy management to formalise the partnership and assess training systems, facilities, and instructional quality.
  • The development further supports the positioning of Cebu as a regional aviation training hub, with the city's favourable weather conditions, less congested airspace, and strategic location cited as operational advantages for international flight training.
