Philippines-based Pilot Training Group, Alpha Aviation Group, Pushes for Sustainable Aerospace and Defense Industry at the Air Force Symposium 2023
Alpha Aviation Group (AAG) Philippines is once again a proud sponsor of the Air Force Symposium with its participation this year revolving around the advocacy to make the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry more sustainable in support of national development and security.
Speaking before hundreds of officials and delegates from the Department of National Defense, Armed Forces of the Philippines (and its major services: Army, Air Force and Navy), other uniformed services, allied armed forces, foreign and local contractors, public and private sectors, and media, Col. Ruel Rombaoa (Ret.) (Head, Defense Division, AAG Philippines) tackled the prospects and imperatives for the A&D industry in pursuit of Ambisyon Natin 2040 and the President Marcos’ 10-Point Agenda.
“The A&D industry can play a vital role in achieving our shared objectives for the long-term. We must share the Filipinos’ vision for the future and the President’s strategic agenda for economic renewal and long-term growth for all,” Col. Rombaoa stated.
Col. Rombaoa also highlighted the key features of the AAG White Paper: “Towards a Sustainable AFP Aviation Training and Maintenance Capability Build-Up” published in 2021, including the latest initiatives towards adherence to the concept of Performance Based Logistics (PBL) and proposals to establish a Disaster Management Training Center and a Joint Military Simulator Training Center. He also introduced AAG’s proposal to revitalize the PADC through appropriate private sector interventions.
