UAE – Sharjah-based simulator training provider Pier Seven Aviation has begun Boeing 737 Type Rating training for a new group of eight airline cadets, with the batch undertaking classroom instruction and simulator training as part of their preparation for airline operations.

  • The training includes technical instruction, briefings, procedural training and simulator sessions before the cadets progress toward operational airline flying.
  • Pier Seven Aviation currently advertises Boeing B737NG Type Rating training for pilots operating under Indian DGCA requirements, alongside Airbus A320 Type Rating, EASA A320 Type Rating, Multi-Crew Cooperation and Jet Orientation Course training.
  • The company’s current simulator portfolio includes A320, B737 and B747 training devices. Its website lists EASA and UAE GCAA qualification records covering a B737-800W device as well as B737-300 qualification under EASA.
  • Pier Seven states that its Sharjah training center provides more than 20,000 simulator training hours of annual capacity and operates on a 24-hour basis.
