Pilot Training Solution Provider Fills Slots in Asia Based Indian DGCA-Compliant ATR72-600 Type Rating Offering in 2025

December 10, 2025

Thailand & Spain & India – Spain headquartered Aviation Exchange Group (E-ATO-299) has announced that its 18 December ATR 72-600 Type Rating course for Indian DGCA licence holders is now fully booked, reflecting sustained demand for ATR-qualified pilots in India’s rapidly growing regional aviation market. The ATO has opened applications for its next January intake to accommodate additional candidates.

In November, the organisation launched its latest DGCA-compliant ATR 72-600 type rating programme in Bangkok, tailored for Indian CPL holders aiming to enter India’s expanding turboprop sector.

  • The ATR72-600 remains a key entry pathway for Indian pilots as multiple regional operators expand services and require type-rated turboprop crews.
  • Aviation Exchange will deliver the DGCA-aligned course at its EASA-approved training location in Bangkok, supported by instructors with extensive ATR operational experience.
  • The organisation highlighted its long-standing support of Indian pilots, including smooth DGCA documentation handling and direct experience with several Indian regional airlines.
  • The December type rating intake requires a minimum of four pilots and includes transport, accommodation, and comprehensive simulator access throughout training.

Course Structure

  • 80 hours of Ground School
  • 12 hours MCC on ATR72-600 FFS
  • 32 hours Full Flight Simulator training
  • 4 hours LOFT
  • 4 hours Skill Test (Day/Night + IR/PPC)
