PlaneEnglish Adds Hangar One Flight Company as ARSim Referral Partner

October 28, 2026

Kentucky, USA – Aviation radio communication training software provider PlaneEnglish has announced a referral partnership with Hangar One Flight Company, an FAA Part 61 flight training provider based at Hopkinsville–Christian County Airport (KHVC) in Kentucky. The partnership provides student pilots with discounted access to PlaneEnglish's ARSim Aviation Radio Simulator to support radio communication proficiency alongside practical flight training.

  • Hangar One students can receive a 15% discount on PlaneEnglish subscriptions through the company's School Referral Program. Students purchase access directly using a school-issued referral code, without requiring the flight school to manage individual software licences.
  • Hangar One Flight Company operates a four-aircraft training fleet, comprising two Cessna 172s, one Piper 180 and one Beechcraft Baron. The school provides Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot and flight instructor training, alongside multi-engine time building and proficiency training.
  • Through ARSim, students can practise simulated air traffic control communications, receive feedback on phraseology and transmission accuracy, and repeat scenarios before applying those skills during actual flight operations.
  • The partnership adds a structured self-study resource to Hangar One's student benefits program, allowing trainees to develop radio communication skills outside scheduled aircraft and instructor sessions.
  • AFM previously reported that PlaneEnglish's ARSim platform incorporates FAA WINGS-approved lessons, enabling eligible pilots to earn proficiency credits through structured aviation radio communication exercises.
  • ARSim supports Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) communication training through mobile and web applications. The platform incorporates more than 300 airports and airspaces, thousands of scenarios and speech analysis technology that provides feedback on phraseology, speech rate and communication proficiency.
