Portugal's OMNI Aviation Training Center Adds Diamond DA40 Aircraft to Training Fleet in October 2026

Portugal – Portuguese flight training organisation OMNI Aviation Training Center (OATC) has announced the arrival of another Diamond DA40 aircraft, continuing its fleet renewal and expansion program. The addition supports the academy's ongoing investment in aircraft for professional pilot training across its Portuguese operations.

• OATC operates from two training locations, Cascais Airport and Ponte de Sor Airport, delivering integrated ATPL and modular pilot training programs.
• The latest arrival follows other aircraft additions during 2026, including two Elixir aircraft delivered in April, bringing OATC's fleet of that type to four, alongside the addition of a Diamond DA42 twin-engine aircraft in the same month.
• AFM previously reported that OMNI Aviation Training Center received its first Diamond DA40 NG in February 2025, following a strategic partnership with Airways Aviation Group. The agreement initially outlined plans to deploy 10 Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft across Cascais and Ponte de Sor.
• The Diamond DA40 is a four-seat, single-engine aircraft with a composite airframe, used for initial flight instruction and instrument training. It complements OATC's Diamond DA42 multi-engine training aircraft and Elixir single-engine trainers.
