Portugal – OMNI Aviation Training Center (OATC), a Portuguese flight training organisation established in 1998 as part of the OMNI Group, has added a Diamond DA-42 twin-engine aircraft to its training fleet in April 2026.

  • The Diamond DA-42 is a twin-engine piston aircraft equipped with advanced avionics and glass cockpit instrumentation, widely used across flight training organisations for multi-engine training, IFR training, and commercial pilot licence pathways.
  • The DA-42 acquisition follows OATC's ongoing fleet modernisation program, which in 2025 included the launch of a fleet renewal initiative and the acquisition of next-generation Elixir aircraft for single-engine training. In February 2026, AFM reported the delivery of a second Elixir aircraft to the school.
