Hungary – Propair Flight, a Budapest-headquartered aviation software development studio and member of the AXIS Aviation Group, is recruiting an Aircraft Simulator Development Engineer to join its team working on EASA FFS Level D devices and VR/MR simulators, with responsibilities spanning aerodynamic model development, aircraft systems simulation, and on-site testing at simulator delivery locations worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Development of aerodynamic models, system models, and instruments for Full Flight simulators in the Matlab/Simulink environment.
  • Evaluation of flight test data and its application in model development.
  • Development, maintenance, and updating of simulation tools.
  • Collaborating with other teams to design new features and interfaces.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
  • An interest in aircraft systems.
  • Professional English skills – technical and conversational.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • A proactive attitude towards challenges.
  • Creative thinking and an innovative approach to development processes.
  • Engineering education or you are a student close to graduation.

  • Our motivated team consists of pilots and aviation enthusiasts, software developers, 3D artists, Cloud IoT and machine learning experts, and mobile/web developers.
  • You will continuously grow, and we support flexible and remote work.
  • You'll work in a modern office surrounded by the latest software and aircraft simulator technologies – and sometimes, we even go flying.
  • Work schedule: minimum 30 hours/week for final-year students, or 40 hours/week full-time. Includes one week per month working abroad (Austria), with per diem compensation.
  • Opportunity to participate in testing simulators installed in various parts of the world.
  • Even if you don't meet every requirement, attitude is what matters most. We'll train you in the rest.
