Global – Aviation training technology provider RAeroLLC has introduced the RAero Tutor, an AI-powered learning assistant integrated into its courseware platform for airlines and Approved Training Organisations. The tool can be configured around an operator’s approved training material, including Standard Operating Procedures, operations manuals, policies and internal guidance.

  • RAero says the Tutor allows pilots to submit questions in natural language from within a training course and receive responses grounded in the organisation-specific material supplied to the system. The company positions this as distinct from general-purpose AI tools that respond from broader aviation knowledge rather than an operator’s own procedures.
  • Training organisations can configure the assistant around SOPs, operations manuals, internal procedures, policies and other approved source material, with the content base able to evolve as company documentation is updated.
  • For students:
    • ask questions directly within the course
    • receive answers aligned with company procedures and SOPs
    • study anytime, anywhere - 24/7
    • ask follow-up questions until the concept is fully understood
  • For training departments:
    • greater consistency across trainees and training cohorts
    • reduced repetitive workload for instructors
    • faster onboarding and type-rating preparation
    • training support that evolves as company material is updated
    • a more personalized and interactive learning experience
  • The Tutor becomes another layer within RAero’s wider digital training ecosystem, which currently includes aircraft systems CBT/eLearning, WebXR procedure training, Flight DeckXR familiarisation, interactive systems diagrams, general-subject courses, an A320 Flight Management System Trainer and cabin crew training.
  • RAero’s aircraft courseware library currently covers 12 types or configurations: Airbus A320, A330 and A350; Boeing 737NG, 737 MAX, 747-400, 757, 767, 777 and 787; and Embraer EMB 195 and ERJ 145.
