Regional Aviation Association of Australia Welcomes 2024 Board of Directors

12th Dec 2023

At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 30 November, 2023 the Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA) welcomed 11 returning Directors and 3 new Directors to the Board for 2024. RA thanked outgoing members Neville Evans (Jet Aviation) and Leif Mawson (Aviation Australia) for their past service and looks forward to working with Eliza Tipping (Air BP), David Trevelyan (Basair), and Shannon Wells (Airlines of Tasmania).

Straight after the AGM the Board held their first meeting and set their priorities for 2024.

“We’ll continue to focus on our relationship with the Department as the Green Paper rolls over into the White Paper and we’re setting up a new working group to continue working on Fair Work issues around pilot bonds and return of service,” said RAAA. “Training and skills shortages, particularly the urgent need for more LAMEs, also remains a key focus along with maintenance regulation and airport access challenges for regional operators.”

AFM team note of interest – David Trevelyan and Shannon Wells both are leaders in the Australian flight training industry.
