Ryan Aerospace Launches Next-Generation Mixed Reality Flight Simulator
Australia – Ryan Aerospace has unveiled the second-generation Immersive Training Device (ITD) for mixed reality flight simulation. The ITD Gen 2 builds on the success of its predecessor, offering enhanced modularity and reconfigurability for tailored pilot training solutions.
- The ITD Gen 2 features electric actuators for adjustable seats and rudder pedals, ensuring precise alignment with aircraft-specific seating positions and design eye points.
- Modular components, including side panel pods and the main instrument panel, allow quick reconfiguration between aircraft types such as the T-38, F-16, and F-22.
- Each module is independently powered, featuring a dedicated USB hub and ethernet switch for streamlined operation.
- The ITD Gen 2 is already seeing adoption, with the first units configured for T-38 training soon to be delivered to the US Air Force for Fighter Bomber Fundamentals training.
Statement:
- “Working very closely with Vertex Solutions and other partners in the US, pre-orders have already been taken and we are about to deliver the first of a number of devices in a T-38 configuration to the US Air Force for their Fighter Bomber Fundamentals training course,” said Managing Director Chris Ryan.
