Italy - Salient has signed a letter of intent for the purchase of up to three MPS FTDs. The simulators are expected to be installed at a newly established training facility in Northern Italy, where they will underpin a world-beating Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) program including aircraft type rating. The MPS devices will also be utilised by Salient to provide global customers with operational training.
Philip Adrian, MPS Chief Executive Officer, said: “MPS is pleased to partner with Salient as it establishes a state-of-the-art training centre in Italy with several MPS devices. This partnership allows airlines and training operators to take advantage of the expertise and knowledge of the Salient team regarding aviation training.”
“MPS FTDs combine the fidelity, flexibility and value our MPL program demands,” said Salient Chief Executive Officer Michael Varney. “They are the right devices, from the right partner, at the right moment for Salient.”
