Sweden – Istanbul-based cabin crew training device manufacturer SkyArt has been selected by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) to design and manufacture an Embraer E2 Door and Overwing Exit Trainer. The investment supports SAS's preparation for the introduction of the E195-E2 from late 2027 by providing type-specific cabin crew training infrastructure ahead of fleet entry.

  • SAS has 45 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft on firm order and purchase rights for another 10, with first deliveries scheduled for late 2027 and subsequent deliveries extending over approximately four years.
  • SAS currently lists 111 aircraft across its three AOCs: 81 Airbus A320-family aircraft, 16 Embraer E195s, eight Airbus A330s and six Airbus A350s. The current 16-aircraft E195 fleet is operated by SAS Link and is separate from the incoming E195-E2 order.
