Saudia Academy Teams Up with Leading Firms to Build New Aviation Training Hub in Riyadh

06th Jul 2025

Saudi Arabia Saudia Academy, the aviation training arm and full flight simulator training center of the Kingdom’s national carrier Saudia, has announced two strategic collaborations to support the development of its new aviation training complex in Riyadh. Partnering with Takamul PMC and Elkhereiji, the Academy aims to create a world-class training environment aligned with national development goals.

Takamul PMC will lead the design management of the Prince Sultan Aviation Academy building, while Elkhereiji will deliver engineering design consultancy for the broader Saudia Academy Training Complex.

In February Saudia Academy had shared that it had commenced construction on a new aviation training center in Riyadh. The announcement made at the Arab Aviation Summit highlighted that the facility is designed to expand Saudi Arabia’s pilot training capabilities in response to growing regional demand.

  • Phase One of the training center will feature eight full-flight simulator bays, providing hands-on training for multiple aircraft types, including Airbus and Boeing models.
  • The facility is expected to be operational by Q1 2026, marking a significant expansion beyond Saudia Academy’s existing Jeddah-based training center.
  • The development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which seeks to position the Kingdom as a global aviation hub through investments in infrastructure, airline capacity, and workforce development.
